Faux Fur & Cropped Flares

You all know about my adoration for the reconstructed turtleneck. Well, this one that I found in Zara has become an absolute favorite. I can think of a thousand ways (okay, maybe ten) to wear this unique high street piece. When paired with a Cropped Flare, the seasons most coveted trouser shape, it gives what I'd like to call an impressive silhouette.

Couture Week Streetstyle Trends

Couture week arrives at just the right time --- when it's so cold you lose the desire to dress up and replace that ache with the desire to stay warm. This week, long legged models pranced down the Haute Couture runways in designs delicious enough to break your low carb diet over, but on the streets of Paris, the style was just appetizing. Streetstyle favorites subtly peacocked past the cameras, showcasing a plethora of embellished separates, eye-catching coats and bags that can speak for themselves. So, behold the trend breakdown! And revel in the goodness you can look forward to when it finally stops snowing/slushing/raining.

Let's begin.
couture week 2016 streetstyle bags

1. Bag's that have their own personalities. They add interest and coolness.

2. Embellished: Top to bottom (if you can handle it) or piece by piece, embellishments have elevated.

3. Metallic Shoes were everywhere. Not in a tacky prom sort of way but, in a grannycore way.

4.  Feminine details: Ruffles, lace, pastel tones. Pure i r l.

5. Electric blue: This bright hue was worn in coats, blazers, blouses & even booties.

6. Mad for Plaid: A little less school girl a little more 'I want to channel Olivia Palermo." Plaid is totally revamped when paired with modern accessories.

7. Floral Print: I know, for Spring, groundbreaking. But this actually is. Floral is making an appearance in fall and winter. Layer this print to keep it seasonally appropriate.

I'll be trying all these trends. Which are you most excited to shop/wear?

5 People to Unfollow On Social Media

January is always about a detox. While your prior resolutions to morph your body into a smaller, toner one might not be going as planned due to life and it's needs, you can still cleanse yourself of negative influences, guilty pleasures and reoccurring, unnecessary feelings. Social media is a great place to start. For the sake of starting 2016 with a clean palette, it's time to reassess the ass's in your life and unfollow these five people.
