15 Winter Outfits To Guide You This Season

Hate to break it to you guys, but it's about to get freaking frosty.
I don't hate to break to you that, in fact, fall and winter are the freaking best.

Reason 1: Layering. Summer was all about getting the most bang for your buck. Aka wearing the least amount of clothes while maintaining some sort of class, dignity, and personal style.

Reason 2: Hot drinks. You can now sip an almond milk latte without sweating from various orifices as your silk blouse sticks to your back, questioning, "Why? why in 94-degree weather?"

Reason 3: The holidays. But more particularly, the holiday shopping and holiday movies and holiday egg nog and holiday decorating. Don't be a grinch, you know you love it.

Reason 4: The street style and the trends that come with it.

Reason 5: You don't have to worry about the constant, nagging fear of an abrupt pool party in which you have to wear a bathing suit after eating 2 plates of pasta an hour before.

The streets of Sydney were polychromatic in an array of patterns, prints, shimmering details, embroidery, bold statements, sheer-paneled, sculptural, off-shoulder, open-backed, low-cut, billowing sleeved, distressed, spiked, cropped pieces that demanded attention. Gucci was as abundant as the exposed midriffs and clashing (but working) patterns. I'm impressed and you'll be impressed, too. Austrailia Fashion Week was nothing short of captivating in both street style and collections.

What They Were Wearing : Milan Fashion Week

Milan has longtime been called, "One of the most influential fashion capitals of the world." Similar to the coveted French way of dressing, there's a particular personal style sense that comes with Italian dressing. But unlike the French way (minimal, effortless, more simple than embellished) Milan streetstyle stars are the total opposite. More color. More stylized approaches. More patterns and fabrics. Much more daring. It's not surprising, though, that brands like more-enthusiast Gucci and Versace were born there. Nothing is too much on these streets and thus no more words are needed. Let's celebrate the rule breakers, the cold bearers, the animal print lovers, the risk takers. Let's celebrate those who have abandoned rules in order to accept personal flare. Let's hear it for those wearing seven different colors unflinchingly, those mixing patterns and textures, let's hear it for those unafraid to be stared at, unafraid to be different and unafraid to make mistakes for the sake of fashion.
